Lewi earned his Bachelor degree in Agricultural Seed Science from Padjadjaran University (Bandung, West Java) in 1993. After graduating he applied his scientific knowledge, combined with savvy business skills, to develop new and effective marketing programs for companies such as Monagro Kimia and Monfori Nusantara (both the Indonesian subsidiaries of Monsanto Company, one of the world's leading agriculture corporations). After building an extensive career in the forestry, floriculture and agriculture business and experiencing a fateful trip to an island in eastern Indonesia, Lewi started his own business by launching PMA in 2011.

After earning her Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Horticultural Technology from the University of Queensland (Brisbane, Australia), Elsje returned to Indonesia to work as the Garden Manager at Taman Bunga Nusantara in Cipanas, West Java. She then continued to apply her expertise as the Product Development Manager at PT Monfori Nusantara (the Indonesian subsidiary of Monsanto Company) for several years. Her management and people skills were developed when she owned and managed three restaurants for a couple of years, and further sharpened when she taught Food Design & Technology for more than seven years at a prestigious International School in Karawaci, Tangerang.

Lewi and Elsje have been working together since 1997, and they are also married to each other and now reside with their children in Tangerang, Indonesia.
